“I came across this fantastic lyric when exploring through some traditional American hymnals. Being from Denmark, I didn't know the hymn and had never heard the original melody, so to me it felt very fresh. It struck me how beautifully it expressed radical surrender and comfort in walking with Christ. After listening to the original melody, which was quite strident, I aimed for a tune that had a little more melancholy and expressed a deep longing." (Arvid Asmussen)
