Enneagram Beatitudes

Enneagram Beatitudes

ONE
Blessed are the conscientious
watching each step on
the narrow road
who will never betray themselves
nor the good they seek
already living
inside the heart they carry which
they will only see
as it enters
into the hands of God

TWO
Blessed are the empathetic
whose heartbeat patterns
sync in tempo
to their sister or their neighbour
or their lover alike
effortlessly
sensing love is not transaction
but conversation
and every call
deserves a response

THREE
Blessed are the relentless ones
whose outspread wings are
ample enough
to ascend the pale blue expanse
of imagined heights
until they rest
with a choice to open up their
feathered canopy
of shelter to
those who dream like them

FOUR
Blessed are the open-hearted
who send out their song
like a beacon
who feel everything intently
like wet skin senses
chill in the wind
whose hope is placed in a bottle
and thrown out to sea
praying it finds
a reader who cares

FIVE
Blessed are the inquisitive
who seek to grow in
understanding
depth and beauty within our world
enchanted as they
scan each facet
of diamond as the light refracts
the surface mirrors
they glance themselves
and see the truth at last

SIX
Blessed are the unwavering
who grace the mountains
in all seasons
as evergreens while winter sheds
others of their leaves
they stay in bloom
as a calm witness to the truth
there is always life
to be cherished
and we are not alone

SEVEN
Blessed are the eager-hearted
who greet each moment
as a new gift
unwrapping the curiosity
with contagious joy
sharing unaware
the incessant spirit of life
hidden is us all
that awakens
when they are near

EIGHT
Blessed are the combative ones
who do not require
man’s permission
to set out upon adventure
where there is no map
to guide the way
but trust the compass in themselves
breaking a path through
the overgrowth
so others may follow

NINE
Blessed are the harmonizers
who feel the silent
resonances
between us all that can transform
countermelody
to symphony
leading us to learn the language
of understanding
they speak to us
like a lullaby
