ITM
ITM (reiteration of the Tagalog word, “itim” meaning "dark") is a 2nd Gen Filipino-American emcee born and raised in Northern California. He considers himself an artist in the greater movement of Pilipinx creatives who are reclaiming their identities by reinterpreting them through the experience of diaspora. In 2018, he moved to the Philippines to live alongside and serve a working-class community in Metro Manila. In addition to his work and music, ITM also vlogs about his experiences as a “Balikbayan (one who returns to their land) not Missionary” and is also a Master’s of Divinity student at Asian Theological Seminary. Repping Riverside, Quezon City, ITM creates to inspire his "Kababayans" (people of the same land) to reclaim their identities and decolonize faith while meaningfully reconnecting back to the Motherland.
