Treasure Hunting
God’s kingdom, slang for ‘the king's domain,’ is a treasure trove of intriguing communities and individuals with stories to be told, ideas to be shared, artwork to be displayed, articles to be published, podcasts to be recorded, songs to be sung, movies to be filmed, and visions to be fulfilled. The moment we catch a vision of God’s people as a collaborative community of priests, our focus moves from our individual pursuits to what God can do when we work in tandem with others, and, without us even knowing, we become ‘treasure hunters’, curiously seeking out the multifarious investments of God in his people.
There would be no Common Hymnal if it were not for a core team of treasure hunters who are continuously searching through the spiritual underground to find creatives that have songs, stories and ideas that are relevant beyond their local contexts. These treasure hunters are encouragers at heart. They believe that God's purposes are best fulfilled when every gift is released. They love to cross-pollinate their discoveries far and wide. They are realistic and realize that not everything of value needs to be 'produced to the hilt'. They are looking for fresh/original more than predictable/cliche.
The place where our treasure hunters coagulate is on our Discord, which is accessible when you sign up for our Patreon.
